Disability and Accessibility Information

Grand Rapids strives to accommodate visitors with special needs. They were ranked the #2 best city for people with disabilities in 2017 and are always working to make their systems and services even more accessible for all travelers.

This guide, produced in conjunction with Disability Advocates of Kent County, outlines the accessibility features at some popular hotels, attractions, eateries and service providers in downtown Grand Rapids. Much of the reporting focuses on the experience of the wheelchair user, but there is also useful information for those with visual, auditory and other needs. We invite you to use this guide to identify facilities that meet your specific needs as you travel around Grand Rapids.

Any guest who requires an ADA should make arrangements as soon as possible/prior to booking as rooms can become unavailable. To ensure accommodations are met, please call the hotel directly at 616-774-2000. The hotel can also coordinate wheelchair rental for attendees.  All meeting space is accessible by elevators.
