Meet the 2023 National Officer Candidates

The National Nominating Committee worked hard to contact and secure highly qualified candidates. Please remember that NEAFCS Policy directs that candidates may not campaign for office. The Central and Southern Region Director candidates will give their three-minute speeches and be elected by voting delegates during their respective Regional Awards and Business Meetings on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. All other candidates will give their speeches during Opening Session on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. ET.  Read More

A Florida Housing Team of Family Consumer Sciences Agents

Even with the difficulties caused by the worldwide health and economic crisis in early 2020, families who live paycheck to paycheck - often referred to as ALICE - continue to play a crucial role in every county and state across the US. Language barriers add an extra difficulty for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed (ALICE) families. Even though Florida experienced improvements in its unemployment rate, GDP growth, and wages in 2018, almost half of its households were already struggling to make ends meet before the pandemic.
