Call for 2013 Officer Candidates!

Amy Peterson, Immediate Past-President and Chair of the National Nominating Committee, is now taking applications for National Officers. The following offices are up for election in 2013. You DO NOT need to be contacted to apply but DO NEED to check the Policy and Procedures manual for the requirements needed for each office. Applications are due April 1st. Check out the list below to see what YOU might be interested in!

President Elect: Open to those who have previously served on the National Board and have been an affiliate President. A fantastic experience to give back to the association that has done so much for you! This is a three year term, three times the fun! Questions about running for President – Elect?

Treasurer: Interested in financial issues, budgets and bookkeeping? Do numbers speak out to you? Have you served as your Affiliate Treasurer or treasurer of other organizations? Think about being the NEAFCS Treasurer and working alongside our Executive Director to oversee our financial future!

Vice President of Awards and Recognition: Like to support others in their success? Love the ribbons and rosettes of your local 4-H’ers? Enjoy making others happy? Been on an Awards Committee or have served in this position in your affiliate? The VP of Awards and Recognition might be the next step in your professional future! It’s a very rewarding experience!

Vice President of Public Affairs: Are you an advocate for Extension and Family & Consumer Sciences? Like the “thrill of the Hill” and understanding how Washington DC fits in with Washington state to Maine? Served as an affiliate PA chair, been on a PA committee or been to PILD? Perhaps it’s time for you to run for the VP of Public Affairs and promote NEAFCS at the national level.

Central Regional Director/Southern Region Director: Enjoy meeting new people and helping others? Interested in learning more about how NEAFCS operates from all levels? Want to develop some leadership skills of your own? Think about being a Regional Director. It’s a great way to meet colleagues and affiliate presidents from all over the nation and help them with their local and state leadership roles.
