JCEP Public Issues Leadership Development Conference Scholarship

For more information on the JCEP PILD Conference visit www.jcep.org/pild

NEAFCS will provide 60 scholarships of $100 each to assist NEAFCS members in attending the Virtual JCEP Public Issues Leadership Development (PILD) Conference April 12-13, 2021.

Starting February 1st, Affiliate Presidents may use any criteria they wish to select one first-time representative from their state to apply for a PILD Scholarship. Prospective applicants should check with their Affiliate President prior to completing the application.  Only one (1) scholarship will be awarded per Affiliate for a first-time attendee. The deadline for Affiliate first time applicants is March 25th.  After this date, the scholarship portal will open to all NEAFCS members to apply for the remaining scholarships on a first-come, first-serve basis.

IMPORTANT - If you received the PILD Virtual Scholarship in 2020, you are not eligible to apply again. When PILD transitions back to an in-person event, we will allow first-time scholarship recipients from 2020 and 2021 to apply to attend an in-person meeting.  Any questions, please contact [email protected].

Scholarship recipients will be notified before the PILD Early Bird Registration deadline which is April 2nd, so they can take advantage of the discounted registration rate of $100.

NEAFCS members can only receive a registration scholarship from one JCEP Association to attend PILD even if they hold membership in more than one association.

Attendance is required at all PILD general sessions and the NEAFCS association meeting.

Scholarship recipients will be required to register and pay with JCEP directly. Following the PILD Conference, scholarship recipients will compose a short reflective paragraph about their PILD experience which will be posted on the NEAFCS website and included in future NEAFCS news articles.

Scholarships will be issued after the reflection paragraph is submitted to the NEAFCS Portal. Scholarships are paid directly to recipients, their state affiliates or universities by NEAFCS.
