Description:
Hands-on in-person home food preservation workshops are effective for empowering consumers in rural, urban and suburban audiences to safely and confidently can foods. Webinar attendees will learn best practices for hosting canning workshops, as well as the “twists” used by five Extension agents in Georgia for success including age groups, marketing methods, use of volunteers, timing, refreshments, collaborators, community partners, and sponsorships. Resources and web data from the National Center for Home Food Preservation will also be shared.
